Background: RVZilla is a comprehensive online platform and marketplace to connect RV renters and owners. Selections include vintage Airstreams, toy haulers, fifth wheelers, Class A, B, and C of RVs, as well as garden variety trailers and motorhomes. Focusing on the end-user and experience, RVZilla helps campers create precious memories with friends and family in the great outdoors.
RVZilla is one of the latest entrants to the sharing economy, also called the peer-to-peer (P2P) economy, because buyers and sellers negotiate terms directly online. Just as AirBnB connects private homeowners with consumers seeking lodging, RVZilla facilitates transactions between RV owners and campers. For RV owners, joining RVZilla’s platform is a way to earn some income from their RV & camper vehicles; for campers, it gives them the ability to easily rent an RV and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
Challenge: LunarX set out to create a comprehensive platform that included the following attributes:
- Scalable marketplace to rent a variety of RVs
- Connect campgrounds with campers
- Connect RV dealerships with RV owners
Solution: LunarX was contracted to create RVZilla an online marketplace that connects RV owners, renters & dealerships. We managed and led the RVZilla brand design & architecture, including the RVZilla official logo design. LunarX also led developing the investor and consumer front-facing website which included providing all the imagery, copywriting & brand implementation. Digital marketing development and brand awareness was a part of LunarX’s solution by creating a comprehensive social media, email marketing & search engine optimization strategy. To top it all off, LunarX championed the iOS and Android software development and launch.
