Background: BLK GLD is the home of Black Excellence. BLK GLD is also the media arm of LunarX’s multicultural consulting arm, National Black Business Directory. BLK GLD was created to be the centralized hub for financial literacy, business intelligence, & political news created to enlighten the Black community. The BLK GLD digital platform economically empowers Black entrepreneurs through brand awareness and development while creating a media culture to educate and inform.

BLK GLD brings more than a dozen Black business news and media outlets including Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Black Enterprise, and Blavity all in one place for readers. The app had more than 10,000 downloads and reached as high as #27 on the App Store’s News category rankings two days after its launch.

Challenge: There is a significant lack of financial literacy, political & business leadership within the Black community. This lack of leadership deprives Black communities of cohesive strategy and empowerment that exacerbates economic disenfranchisement.

Solution: The BLK GLD media app was created to aggregate financial news from Black-owned, geopolitical & international business news entities. The app’s goal is to increase every user’s business acumen and empower them to pursue their own businesses and investments.
